The Victorious Needy

In His sermon on the mount, found in Matthew 5, Jesus gave us what is called the Beatitudes. I will call them the Be Holy Attitudes because God wants us to be holy as He is holy. The first is, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Only the needy receive the benefits of the victory Jesus got at the cross.
